How Hungarians keep in touch with mums: findings from a nationwide survey
 
Based on a nationally representative survey conducted for Mother’s Day, six out of ten Hungarians talk to their mothers at least once a week. When they can’t meet in person, they most often stay in touch via mobile phone. More than half of these conversations last at least ten minutes, though they usually cover practical matters and less often emotional topics. Nevertheless, experts from the Mélylevegő Group emphasize the importance of deeper conversations beyond everyday logistics. Yettel and Wolt launch joint convenience service

Yettel is making its products and services available through a new channel. It is the first Hungarian mobile operator to offer prepaid mobile phones, prepaid SIM cards and a range of accessories from its shops via the Wolt app.

Yettel has the fastest 4G and 5G mobile internet networks in Hungary, according to network measurement results published by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) on the szelessav.net website on 11 March 2025, based on aggregate national average download and upload speeds. Having spent almost HUF 100 billion on modernising its mobile network between 2020 and 2024, the telco company will launch high-speed 5G service at its 1,000th base station in a few days’ time, and has earmarked another tens of billions of HUF for further development in Hungary by 2028.
